Old Time Harvest Days

2023 marks the 170th year anniversary since Wartrace was founded. Join us as we relive history and explore our past and traditions.

Step back in time in the quaint historic town of Wartrace. We will have classic fall festivities and demonstrations by local crafters, artisans, tradespeople, storytellers, and more. There will be food trucks, a kids zone, a chili cook-off, performers, and we aim for all products and goods for sale to be homemade, handcrafted, and/or local. Chili Cook-off Contest Got a yummy chili recipe? Enter to earn some bragging rights and a chance at the Grand Prize in our Annual Chili Cook-off at the Old Time Harvest Days!

Anyone can be a judge! $5 gets you a cup from each crockpot of chili presented then cast your vote for the best-tasting. Bring your appetite and begin tasting at 12:00pm!

Any type of chili is welcome and the fee to enter your crockpot of chili is $5. Must bring warm chili in a crockpot to Wartrace Chamber booth set up downtown by 11:30am. Tasting and voting will begin at 12:00pm. $100 Grand Prize! To enter, fill out the application and email it to us by Oct 6th then bring the $5 in person along with your crockpot. All applications for our events can be found at WartraceChamber.org. Remaining chili will be packaged up and available for purchase afterwards (proceeds benefit our non-profit Chamber of Commerce).
